Today is my 34th birthday.
Runner's World (& a lot of bloggers) talk about running streaks. The idea is it pick a fixed time frame & run every single day. Even if it's only one mile, it counts as part of the streak.
I'm not into running streaks. I love running, but I don't like running every day. I like to give my muscles a break & do different things so I don't get bored. I like to mix it up with strength training, yoga…. I want to try Zumba, too.
The whole streaking thing has led me to a different idea. I'm going to do a clean eating streak from the end of my birthday to Thanksgiving. I already eat fairly clean… except on weekends. I always blow it on weekends. But for this allotted amount of time, I'm going to keep it 100% clean. I'm going to try new recipes on the weekends & mix it up a bit during the week. And I'm sure there will be a whole lot of pumpkin. I seem to love pumpkin. Be prepared for a LOT of photos of my cooking creations on the weekends. I'll also keep a strict record of my weight to see how affected it is by the clean eating streak... just for scientific purposes. I'm not doing this for weight loss, but I think it'll be interesting to see how my weight is affected by clean eating.
I think it's a great way to start my new year. I'm looking forward to it. Let the meal planning commence!
