Choose to Feel Good!

My trainer asked me to post some before/after photos today on a private Facebook group. I had way too much fun downloading new apps to make photo collages. And since I take a lot of vanity photos, this request was right up my alley.

This is my favorite comparison composite. Glasses or no glasses, HOLY CRAPBALLS! Such a difference. Granted, I've lost 15 lbs. since July 2012... even so, this is so amazing.  I wrote the other day that I don't feel "fit & ready" for my 1/2 marathon attempt on Sunday, so this reflection has been awesome for me. It makes me feel good know where I've been & understand where I'm going.

I get lost sometimes in "The Goal." I tend to focus on the finish line & jump right past the process it took to get me there. And that finish line is important... but this matters. It hasn't been easy. It's taken a long time. It took finding the right fit with a trainer to get my eating sorted out. But now that I'm here, I'm not going back.

Ever.

And instead of worrying about my lack of "fit & ready" feeling, I choose to feel good.
