My Addiction...

Dear Readers,

Hi. My name is Bonnie & I have a problem. My problem? Buying running gear. I buy a LOT of running gear... or at least I feel like I do. Part of the problem right now is that losing weight always means buying new clothes. And good athletic gear is very expensive. The nutrition/fuel piece of the running equation is also very expensive; Jelly Belly Sport Beans are not cheap! And since I have to order everything & have it shipped to Italy, my costs are pretty high.

I'm hoping to get over this stage, but I don't think I ever will. Whatever hobby I get into, I always end up taking it to the extreme. Running, as a hobby, forces a lot of changes on the body. As such, I'm buying way more things than usual because it's changing my body structure.

All in all, I think I'm going to have to learn how to sew just to tailor down my running skirts from RunningSkirts. You've seen me in these before; all my photos happen in running skirts. Unfortunately, they're almost all too big for me now to be able to use the pockets... which is my hands-down favorite feature of the RunningSkirts product. I've got some recommendations on how to add an elastic band or drawstring to them to help them last longer. That's a project for next weekend.

In the meantime, I have to stop buying more running gear! At least I'm not buying more shoes... I did that for a long time because I could never find the "magic" pair. Now that I'm running in Newtons, that problem seems to be solved.

And now, I'm off to learn how to sew. This will NOT be fun.
